Meditation: generous companion

Our physical body is often interacted with like we do with our car or refrigerator. Fuel it, put stuff in it, and it’s supposed to work well all the time. Right?

Truth is that this amazing, complex, and miraculous physical instrument called the human body is generous to the point of depletion and is patient with its “owner” beyond any definition of forbearance. I wonder how often the “owner” returns the kindness.

The five physical senses are, of course, features within the totality of the physical body.

We contemplate the generosity, patience, and endurance of the physical body together with its limited forms of communicating to its “owner.” This is an important contemplation for one’s well-being.
