Meditation: being 092624

We return to the simple practice of abiding. Simple in simplicity, but as most practitioners soon discover not simple to accomplish. Why? Because every part of our incarnated nature is restless. Fidgety. And, always doing.

At some point in meditation training, how untamed the mind and personal equipment actually is becomes glaringly obvious; and usually that is when the invitation is to simply abide. To not fix, poke, adjust, or change the nowness of awareness is our invitation.

Meditation: with all beings 1

It is so important to hold all beings in our hearts these days, and every day. It matters. The energy of caring matters.

Garden: tomato bliss

Colors. Tastes. Shapes. Then cooking and creating with them. Heaven!

First: tomato, avocado salsa

Second: tomato, cucumber, feta salad

Third: tomato, basil soup

Fourth: slightly cooked and canned tomatoes for a cold winter day

Fifth: pear tomatoes. This one plant produced over 200 fruit.

Sixth: a medley for my acupuncturist

Seventh: just plain fun and beauty. Yummy, too.

Eighth: can you ask for anything more amazing!

Meditation: a field of gratitude

How fortunate we are.

Acknowledging that in any moment generates a field of gratitude. Then, when that acknowledgement is wished forward for others and all beings, a field goes out from us. And, when this is done within a group, such as morning meditation, the field is increased.

This is our meditation.
