Meditation: metta, sensing

We deepen into a Metta prayer that many people know and use.

May I be filled with loving-kindness, May I be well. May I know peace and ease; May I be happy.

Then one thinks on specific individuals, human or another kind of being and says the same prayer with “you”.

Then one considers all beings, which one might do in sections, like all fish, all birds, all humans, all microbes, all trees, and so forth, and says the prayer with “may all _____ be filled,” etc.

We go a little deeper into each invocation. Please, say this or any other prayer for peace, kindness, and well-being into the world throughout the day.
