We know that our state of mind and emotions is our choice. It might not always feel like that but that is due to habits of consciousness. A meditation practice fosters additional patterns within our consciousness.
The qualities that meditation brings forward were inside us. It is these protectors that we invoke with this session. That is done by noticing what normally happens when we align and breathe.
We live in fluid and changing times. People are living with uncertainty and, most people that I know, also have the changes of aging going in their life or a loved one. Invoking tranquility and clarity or spacious openness in challenging situations helps. These qualities are inside us, and it is them that a meditation practice works with.
