2. Protect, purify, pacify, enlighten the mind

Mind is a comprehensive word in Eastern languages. It includes feelings, sensations, and conceptualization. Basically, mind is the matrix for experience and thus participation in existence.

It is because mind is the basis for our perception of and participation in existence that protecting the mind is important. Mantra is only one way to do so and, for most people, mantra is out measured by the amount of time one is involved with screen time or other forms of engagement. One is to care for one’s mind like you would for an infant. Just as a baby grows so does one’s mind. May your mind develop well.
