Meditation: abiding essence, pixels 3

Before entering the meditation, we reminded ourselves of rejoicing and celebrating the good fortune of the moment and praying that ease or comfort or whatever goodness forward for others.

For example, right now my clothes are in the washing machine which is in my home. I pause for a moment and reflect upon how fortunate I am to:

  • have clothes to wash
  • have water enough to wash them
  • have a machine that does the work for me
  • can pay the electric bill that provides the water from the well, powers the washing machine, and will power the dryer,  too.
  • My home is not being bombed; plus I actually have a home.
  • Electricity is not turned off, nor is water. This is not the case in occupied territories around the world where civilians endure such hardships.

With these reflections and more, I pray this good fortune to all beings: that beings of all species have their needs met and are supported in their lives.

We, then, enter the meditation; one in which experience and experiencer are non-dual.
