Meditation: ephemeral

Distraction is a curious activity, curious as in strange. Nothing gets done with distraction: responsibilities are shirked, living beings are not engaged with, and no one is made happy; not the person engaged in a distraction nor anyone else. So, if there is no benefit why are we easily distracted?

That’s a question each person can ask him or herself.

Being Present, in part, is born from being with how truly ephemeral every thing in existence is. Contemplating the fleeting and changing nature of things tends to arouse appreciation, gratitude, honoring and valuing a relationship or a person or this very moment.

We contemplate ephemeral, then meditate.
