Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Each of these planets is either changing zodiacal signs soon or is stabilizing in the sign it recently transitioned into.
- Saturn enters Aries mid February 2026
- Uranus enter Gemini in the last week of April 2026
- Neptune enter Aries the last week of January 2026
- Pluto is now stable in Aquarius (currently 3°)
- These designations are from the perspective of tropical/western astrology, not astronomy nor from sidereal astrology which is eastern astrology and has always been astronomically based.
Astrologically, all of the planets and signs have layers of qualities which energetically are neutral and available to everyone. How anyone thrives or is buffeted about by a planet’s energetic influence is predicated upon the person, not the planet or sign. The range of consciousness and Being that one lives from or personalization and self-focus determines the range of zodiacal energies and possibilities that one can or will discover, open into, utilize and integrate and thereby embody. This is important. For example, Saturn might well seem as a malefic for those who are irresponsible, heedless, or inured to the obviousness of cause-result. Yet, for those who live with responsiveness, response-ability is the only flow. Beneficial results ensue time and again.
- Saturn is the threshold to the outer planets and displays its gateway quality as its
rings. The rings of Saturn represents boundaries lived as constraints and thus imprisoning, as well as thresholds to cross in order to enter into new dimensions of consciousness, experience, and Being. If lived as a ferry into new dimensions, Saturn assists in the exploration and embodiment of expansion. The term “expansion” almost robotically is associated with Jupiter which tells the tale of Saturn considered a “malefic” rather than the full range of what Saturn can and does offer. Saturn offers realism and the constancy of opening into greater place and role within the clarity of being real. To be real is to be responsible, participant in the wholeness of Life and to invite and support the wholeness of others be they human, animal, plant, ocean, or planet.
- By tropical astrology, Saturn is currently in the last few degrees of Pisces and will enter Aries mid February 2026, completing its Pisces cycle.
According to tropical astrology, Uranus flirted with the sign of Gemini this past summer, in July 2025. It remained void-of-course, not getting past 1° Gemini, until it began to retrograde in October which it is still doing. The result is that Uranus re-entered Taurus in late autumn and is currently hanging pendent at 27° Taurus. It will stay at 27° Taurus until mid-March. Those with natal planets at 27° of any sign, take note.
Uranus is the first encountered of the outer planets. We do so through crossing Saturn’s
- Uranus is about insight which often incites, and clarity that frequently shocks, leaving one temporarily untethered and groundless.
- Uranus shatters, disrupts and holds one accountable to big truths, undeniable truths. Personally that can demonstrate as a diagnosis (medical, relational, financial, political, or environmental) to a predictable and inevitable outcome set in motion from choices based on desire while knowing the unhealthiness or disruption of well-being implicit within the choice. For example, the world is currently living out the devastation that capitalism and all its “industrial complexes” has wrought and continues to. Uranus never rubs one’s nose in the shit one has created; but instead makes it so that one cannot close one’s eyes any longer to the mess, its stench, or its death and destruction. A whole-scale pivot and complete revolution is necessary; a direct and unmistaken reorienting to facts and associated truths and, thereby, to interconnected truth of being.
- Uranus’ energies make the obvious plain and undeniable, then support opening to innovation through creative, intuitive, collaborative thinking.
- Uranus, then, augments and supports the new -in ourselves and in all levels of Life’s expression.
- Uranus’ energies and potentials within ourselves is well represented by the Tarot card, the Magician: wherein possibilities are aligned with inner radiance of Being. Creation is no more than the natural flow of intuitive resonating Allness which is ever perfectly aligned, perfectly outpicturing, present Now.
- Uranus the lightning bolt, the inconceivable Essence of Being. Live it. Let your personal self be the expressing Ground.
Neptune has also been in Pisces. Neptune will enter Aries during the last week of January
- Neptune’s range is befitting to its size and appearance from Earth:
- from cloudy and depressed, or confused, distracted or distraction driven
- to artistic, sensitive, empathic and empathetic
- to caring and actually doing something born of the impulse of creativity or empathy or sense of care
- to broadly inclusive, considerate because one considers how life is one dependent interrelated whole – oneself is the butterfly effect with every thought, word, and deed. This level of Neptune is that of wisdom-compassion in action any moment. This level has perceived through apparent distinctions to a sameness of presence expressing in uncountable ways, all displaying the potential of living-being.
- Somewhere along the Way, Neptune has fostered intuition and clarity. The Path is one of maturing from self-created and believed distortions of Reality or Being, into a profound simplicity and clarity, an immediacy of Moment and its Wholeness in which one is an integral and intimate factor. Sensitivity has opened into enduring compassion, strong and resolute. Neptune’s energies previously lived as whimsical, or drowning, or ungrounded now are embodied as unconditioned wisdom, freedom from doubt, intuitive resonance and inclusivity. One has entered the matrix within where intuition is the cutting edge of Awareness-Itself. These buddhic capacities, innate like the potential in a seed, have ripened. Neptune has softened us, opened us such that there never is boundary or separateness again.
Pluto’s energetic influence has a range as diverse, deep, and wide as any other
Is Pluto the Lord of Death? Yes; and completion provides for new beginnings. Is Pluto a harbinger of difficulty or situations in which one or any being is powerless? Yes, quite often; and thus Pluto stirs us out of the complacency that is lived hourly and daily. The fact is that life is constant change: a ceaseless dynamism that ever brings things to the surface for recognition and reckoning, like a volcano. The same dynamism demonstrates with new bud or new shoot surging into fresh existence. Pluto is the birth of a baby just as it is the death of the same human being later in life. Profoundly, then, Pluto represents and holds out to us the nonduality of ° itself.
- Pluto offers endings, thus new beginnings on any scale of consciousness, human activity, in Nature, and in the unstoppable waves of change that is lived as Life.
- Pluto instigates the question “Why?” be that of a despot killing his own people, or the fossil fuel industry bent on its self-important destructive-to-all agenda for money. Why regarding personal inertia or closeted behaviors that benefit no one? Why the robin or cat seems so cruel? Why is the Path so long? Pluto probes the psyche. For those who befriend Pluto, great rewards (Pluto is related to treasure) await.
- Pluto inspires awe. The power Pluto is related to is awesome, fearsome, and larger than life be that the rising of a mountain or island, a gathering storm, or the wonder of a chrysalis revealing its cocooned wonder. Pluto represents the depths of Being that most are desirous of yet fear to become.
- Pluto is about what’s underneath, what’s inside, what is waiting to be discovered or revealed. Pluto is the planet of curiosity; not the superficial kind that Mercury sports but investigation, digging, scraping away the barnacles, and being willing to engage with what is uncovered; especially when the newly perceived dashes established thought patterns.
- Pluto is now stable at 3° Aquarius by tropical astrology reckoning. Astronomically, Pluto is still in the constellation Capricorn.
My intention with this article is not prognostication. Who am I to offer such? Instead, may the reader take the information offered here as a sort of empowerment, a type of refresh or reboot.
- Saturn and Pluto are about alignment with and understanding of the tremendous power within one’s self. How is that power being used? Is it being engaged at all, or has Netflix binging or gaming rendered one useless in these times of “all hands on deck?”
- Uranus is going to shake things up regardless of what one thinks about it or wants. Uranus is the great shuffler, shuffling the deck; but there is only one set of cards. Whether a 52 card deck, Tarot deck, or angel deck, no new cards exist because the interconnected components of Life are what the are. That’s actually excellent news! From a consciousness point of view, it is beneficial and necessary to the shuffle our personal deck of reals and maybes and preferences about everything so that we can loose ourselves from the thoughtforms, desires, and inertias that bind.
- Neptune dissolves, dissipates, softens and opens everything. Are we open to opening? The suffering of this world, fomented by human beings alone, will be experienced in a fuller way, if so; and that is how each person becomes a vibrant, life-supporting being. The universality which Neptune represents awaits humans to release and dissolve the fallacy of individuality, the error of “me” and “mine”, such that fathomless Oneness and Wholeness is who we are and what we live from and as.
Also, my focus in astrology is usually on the planets when catalyzed by their movements and less so the signs, though the signs have volumes of insight to offer. The reason for this is my personal quandry about tropical astrology’s non-astronomical orientation. Should someone look to the night sky, Jupiter is visibly in the constellation Gemini. An ephemeris of tropical (western) astrology places Jupiter at 20° Cancer. Similarly, as one can see in this Stellarium screenshot, Saturn is nowhere near Aries. It’s not even fully in Pisces yet! Both planets are visible with the naked eye in unobscured night skies. So, my focus is the planets.
The energies of the planets are also readily available. We share the solar system with them. The energetics of each planet vibrates within us. Our range of consciousness designates their range of integration and gift-bearing. The signs, aligned with constellations, are less immediate, though nonetheless pervasively part of the human psyche.
The feeling in the air is of new and change. Invite it. Embody it. The world needs everyone to be new, to dance freshly, and “be the change.”
