Random Garden Joy 14: Nature’s grace

How graceful it all is. The peony lies down. Its autumn leaves as beautiful as its anticipated blooms in June.

Returning home from the hospital was to enter a frost-completed garden. It’s season complete and me, too.

Beautiful dancing shapes curved or twirled or puffed.

A few plants – mostly flowers- remain generously providing for the last migrating monarch butterfly. Hummingbirds completed their fly-through a week ago, so my neighbor said.

Kales, chard, and lettuce also still thrive. Fresh greens for a little longer. Thank you, Mother Earth!

Ah, another season complete. Great gratitude.
