The little ones. Some so small you don’t see them unless you stay still and just watch. Certain pollinators are featured repeatedly in nature documentaries and in the public eye. Fair enough. Yet, when environmentalists or insect knowers say that 70% of food requires pollinators, the little ones are the majority.
Here are two short videos from the garden. Stay still and watch. Let your eyes adjust to their small world and their important role. The white flowers are cilantro (self-seeder). The purple are penstemon (a perennial).
