The Magical Lemon

Lemons are sunshine in an oval container. They support health in many ways. Lemons detoxify, support good digestion and the immune system. Lemons often decrease arthritic pain. I think this is because of the etheric benefit of lemons. They are a natural anti-depressant, antiseptic, and calmative. Lemon juice stimulates the brain and good brain functioning. Use organic lemons for the following. Your body, emotions, and etheric (energy) body will experience the benefits.

  • a cup of hot lemon water in the morning before food helps to alkalize the body.
  • simple romaine salad with fresh squeezed organic lemon juice, a dash of salt, and olive oil – toss together. Add avocado for a little protein. A great very healthy light meal anytime.
  • cut a lemon in quarters, squeeze and toss into a bowl of really hot water. If your hands are arthritic put them in the water when it is a good temperature. For other joints, place a hot lemon quarter on the joint. Wrap with a bandana or hand towel until the lemon cools. Enjoy a cup of hot lemon water while you rest.
  • at the end of a work day, use warm water and a squeeze of fresh lemon to wash the face. It soothes the stress of the day away. Complete with a hot cup of lemon water tea, put your feet up, and close your eyes for a few minutes. No TV, no email, no computer, just you and rest for 10 minutes.
  • boil 1 quart of water, squeeze the juice of 1 organic lemon into it, then toss the lemon rinds in too. Use this water to wash your hands any time you need to instead of anti-bacterial soap. The over use of anti-bacterial soaps has actually increased our rate of colds and flues due to a decreased natural and necessary exposure to bacteria and viruses. This natural cleanser is great for most reasons that we rinse our hands.
  • similar to the above, use hot tap water to monthly lemon-wash surfaces in areas of your home or apartment where emotions and discussions happen. The scent of lemon cuts the ethers in a positive way and allows them to be reorganized or redesigned. Emotions naturally effect the ethers of any given space. To occasionally clear the space is really important for our subtle bodies and emotions. Try it. You’ll feel the difference.
  • The above should always be done when moving into a new apartment or home. It clears out the energy of the people that previously occupied the space and allows your energy to begin to fill it, thus making your home feel like your home immediately. After cleaning with warm lemon water sit down and meditate your goodness into your new home or apartment. You will sleep well from the first night.
